Daniel Kaufman is a Partner at Grocapitus, where he leads the firm’s national platform focused on innovative housing solutions, with a specialty in multifamily, workforce, and build-to-rent communities. A veteran real estate developer with over 25 years of experience, Daniel has overseen more than $2 billion in development and construction activity across a wide range of asset types, including market-rate housing, affordable and mixed-income communities, hotels, and office properties.

In addition to his partnership at Grocapitus, Daniel is the founder and principal of the Kaufman Family Office, a multi-platform investment and development firm. He also serves as President of Kaufman Development and plays key leadership roles at Oldivai, an AI-enabled housing innovation platform; Mission10K, which focuses on delivering scalable workforce housing; and Grocapitus, a real estate investment platform with a national footprint.

Daniel’s expertise spans the full development lifecycle—from site selection and acquisition to land use planning, zoning strategy, entitlements, financial structuring, underwriting, and construction management. He has successfully developed over 4,000 residential units and brings a multidisciplinary approach rooted in architecture, capital markets, and public-private collaboration.

Daniel earned his degrees from the University of Vermont and the Boston Architectural College. He is widely recognized for advancing forward-thinking, high-impact development strategies that address today’s most pressing housing and community challenges.
